I learned to play at School and gave up when I went to college. Twenty-five years later, inspired by my wife Bev (playing guitar in the rhythm section) and my son David (Alto Sax) I took it up again, and it’s just like riding a bike- you never forget.
So with a couple of years practise to shake out the cobwebs and polish my technique I am now back playing to the level I achieved all those years ago.
The Railway Swing Band has been really good for me. Its hard, fast and played to a standard way above my level, but the other players in the section are great, really supportive and the whole Band is just so much fun to be a part of. I wont be giving up again!
